Communication is also very good indeed and the staff ring me personally if there is anything they think I need to know. The health, safety and wellbeing of our residents, patients and staff is always our number 1 priority as we continue to celebrate life across all of our care homes. Oakland Grange is a private and family-owned elderly residential care home and we are proud of the excellent reputation we have built within the local community. Our fully qualified nursing team delivers the highest quality nursing care 24 hours-a-day to those who need it. Our 24-hour dementia care is provided by specifically trained, compassionate staff who have a wealth of experience in caring for people living with dementia.
He enjoys the meals and the dining room and lounge are of a nice size, not cramped and not too big that it is like a hospital. The fact that it is a converted house is a positive as it is more like home for the residents. We are determined to offer our residents the best care, and create an atmosphere where they don’t just feel cared for – they feel at home.

I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1987 and have worked Health Organisations in the UK and abroad, across acute, community, private and charity organisations. When I began my role at Oakland Care, I immediately loved the warm, friendly atmosphere of the home and the buzz of the activities taking place in the Bistro. I have enjoyed every minute since and feel every day that I am coming to my second home, with that in mind I strive to add quality and joy to everything the home provides. Oakland Grange is a traditional house offering relaxed retirement living in elegantly appointed full en-suite accommodation, with 24-hour dedicated care and support by our experienced care team. I’m currently studying a Level 5 in Management and Leadership whilst working as Deputy Manager at Woodland Grove. We are a family owned business with many years’ specialist experience and commitment to providing care in our two distinctive Care Homes. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service. – the service is performing well and meeting our expectations. In the last report by the CQC from November 2017, the home received an overall rating of good. Oaklands is situated in the heart of Waterlooville and is well placed within close proximity to all local amenities. These include the various shops, doctor’s surgeries, hospital, pharmacies, supermarkets and parks. Southsea Beach, Farlington Marsh and the local nature reserve are but a 10-minute drive from the Home, perfect for a day out when the weather permits.
